How is winter someones favorite season?

i honestly don’t get how winter can be anyone’s favorite season. like, it’s just sooooo cold. every time i’m biking to school, my fingers literally feel like they’re gonna fall off. and then there’s that horrible snow mixed with rain situation, which makes everything wet and somehow even colder. i swear, by the time i get home from school, i’m drenched and freezing, and it’s the absolute worst.

yeah, sure, snow and the darkness can be aesthetically pleasing, but only if you’re looking at it from inside, like through a window with a hot drink or something. actually being outside in it? no thanks. plus, it gets dark so much quicker, and there’s barely any sunlight, which just makes everything feel so sad. there’s no green anywhere, just a bunch of bare trees and dead plants, and everything looks so lifeless. it’s cold, it’s depressing, and it’s just not it.

and then there’s the constant mess everywhere. like, the roads are all slushy and gross, and your shoes are always wet and muddy no matter what you do. when you get home, you’re tracking in all this dirt and water, and it’s so annoying to clean up. plus, your clothes never fully dry because it’s so cold, so they just stay damp and uncomfortable. everything feels messy and inconvenient, and it’s just exhausting to deal with every single day.
