I'm still trying to grow out my hair, but i just gave it a trim today. i left the bottom layer so i still have some length, but the rest i put in a high pony on top of my head to cut layers, then just cut chunks from the top layer for more volume. i also added face framing pieces at the front, so there's basically bangs length strand that blend into the rest of my hair.

after that i just did a spray bottle refresh so i can properly see what it looks like cos it had gotten kinda frizzy throughout the day. i still wanna grow it out but hopefully this doesn't affect how long it looks too much, and it adds more shape and volume cos its been really flat and dull lately. its also good to get rid of the dead ends i guess. 

it looked really cute right after i cut it, but its always a bit brushed out, so it might look a bit shorter after it curls properly. i hope not cos my hair grows painfully slow and you never notice growth because of the shrinkage.
