I'm bored so I want to ask those who have played/watched Mouthwashing questions.
What's your favorite moment in the game? Mine is the entirety of Swansea's monologue. That whole moment is so...much.
What's your favorite line in the game? Mine is when Swansea says "Those were the best days of my life.". In the context of the whole monologue, it's just sad. It's not said out of triumph. It's told in a self-degrading way. Swansea is an old bitter man who knows he is and has been a piece of shit.
Who's your favorite character? Mine is Anya. She tried so hard to do her best in an awful situation.
What's your favorite aspect of the games? Mine in the set(?) design. I just love how the ship looks! I really like the contrast between the ship pre- and post-crash.
What are your thoughts on Jimmy? I know we hate him—that's the point—but I want to talk about him. My thoughts are that I simply want to know what his upbringing was. How did he get this bad? What exactly happened on earth? It's obvious that Jimmy was a man of extremely low self-esteem who had a blatant disregard for women.
Just so you all know, I listened to the Mouthwashing soundtrack while writing this ᵔ.ᵔ.

i feel like although swansea is definitely a bitter, old man, he's not fr a piece of shit. i think the player sees him as such bc most of the game is from the perspective of jimmy, (who we know is an unreliable narrator), and swansea is interacting with him after his talk with anya where he learned abt her sa. there were some extras/posts released by the devs where they talk abt how much he cares for his children, (though he tries to hide it), and loves to take his wife out on dinner dates and such. he's a good person, just bitter towards the harsh realities of life.
my fav lines/scene from the game is def the night talk between anya and curly!! although the context of the conversation is sad, it reveals so much abt their characters and their perspectives and is also just such a beautiful but heartbreaking scene.
my fav character is def daisuke!! he's such a silly sweetheart who was placed in a horrible situation. i truly believe swansea was saving the pod for daisuke, as he was the youngest and had the most to live for imo. his death was so tragic, especially with jimmy fucking up and causing him more pain (by not listening to anya abt the mouthwash) and swansea having to end the life of the kid he's been caring for and mentoring.
soooo much i could say abt mouthwashing and its characters,,, would love to talk and make new mouthwashing friends!!! :p

i know im not your target audience here [didnt play it lol] but does mouthwashing have a good gameplay? im in doubt about it or psychopomp.
Honestly, it's light on gameplay. There are some puzzles here and there. It's one of those "more story than game" type of game. If that's boring to you, then I suggest just watching it. I personally like Manlybadasshero's playthrough.

i see i see. as far as ive seen about it, it does have a really intriguing story, and more action than psychopomp. i will give it a try, since im not into watching gameplays myself, even tho i watch some playthroughs from time to time lol. really curious to see more bout
