Creative Writing

I am currently in my creative writing class, and as fun as that sounds, I have my piece presented on Thursday this week. I am confident in my writing, but its nerve-wracking when everyone in your class is good at writing and you're not the only good writer around anymore. 

I do have to say that reading and writing is a lost art, and I most definitely blame booktok for ruining reading. Like, sure, it brought back that spark for reading in people, but only for books with smut. And smut can be okay in some cases, but please please please provide us with plot. And DON'T get me started on Colleen Hoover. 

More than anything, I hate what AI has done to the writing community. Almost nobody's writing is original and their own because they are using AI to write it rather than writing it themselves which is FRUSTRATING, especially because I have put years into some of my pieces and seeing people have an entire story written in a couple minutes using chatgpt or something pisses me off. So basically, if you use AI for things like that, and you don't like reading ACTUAL books with plot, world building, and character development. Samantha getting railed by Chase the mafia boss is not the power move you think it is. Women can express their sexuality and explore that, but don't start shitting on other books just because it does not have smut written in it!! Read actual literature too so your brain isn't completely dead!!!!
