An interesting excerpt from Marcus Aurelius;
(Diary/Book "To me" or "Meditations")
" Respect your power to form an opinion. Only so the helmsman inside you avoid forming opinions that are at odds with nature and with nature constitution of a rational being. From it you can expect to obtain the circumspection, good relations with your fellow men, and conformity to the god's Will. "
Aurelius knew of his constitution as someone noble in social terms and equally of spirit. (Also, the guy was emperor full of culture and noble family..)
Take a moment now and think.
How do I form my opinions?
Do these opinions segregate sides only of my being or of all conjecture? If it is the first answer, try to read this book, it will make you seek to meditate more. I think.
