The basis of humanity's evolution is adaptation and I think there is nuance is recognizing the core of the individual and the steps they take in how they go about life/accountability.
I try to be meaningful with how I recognize every angle of a perspective and I try to put genuine research into what I talk about i just think we really need to analyze without assumptions to truly understand recognizing a person/their intentions along with the impact of their actions.
It's very telling how folks go about this and I get i can come off somewhat harsh or somewhat lax depending on the situation/person but I just really try to be genuine about myself and how I perceive others. It's a whole multifaceted thing to understand. I do believe everyone should be held accountable for their actions. I just want to be as genuine as I can be about it.
I just feel like you gotta put in the work to really say that you have changed yanno? Don't mean to be long-winded about this but it's just a multifaceted thought process. I feel so many take accountability as something can't change from but that's like, the antithesis of taking genuine accountability imo.

I’d like to offer you some depressing perspective.
First of all you’re assuming people want to change.. looking at the current social climate, oh god!
Second of all, you’re overestimating not only emotional intelligence but general intelligence. Most people that the general population would consider disruptive and in need of change don’t notice themselves.
Third of all.. evolution isn’t important anymore. Annoying people used to get cast out and die. Being awful doesnt have any consquences anymore.. sadly.
I do believe that good people are truly good, so, for every dick that wont change a bit there’s an absolute dear that wont change either!
I hear you but it's really more of a, if people wanted to, they genuinely would statement. Can't just say there's change when there isn't. It is depressing how people act about being considered wrong and not taking it as an opportunity to do better however.
I get yeah we might not get cool wings or anything but if talking about physical evolution people have been getting more taller with bigger eyes lol. But mentally and socially, I think there's definitely always going to be room for improvement there.
It's still a possible outcome because we aren't inherently going to be awful people yanno? Really defends on what the individual decides. Idk the specific statistics of that. But I believe in the possibility of genuine. If I care then yeah there's gotta be other people that do too and with the way people are such social creatures and how ideas can be long reaching and longstanding I don't want to give up on the possibility for genuine greatness for our society/environment.
I understand your perspective I really do, but ngl of I stayed on an absolutely negative overlook I'd probably go insane. So it does give me solice with seeing and being friends with folks who actually try and do better despite the assumption of everyone having to stay the same or worse

i dont think we are inherintly evil at all. if anything, i'd like to say we do pretty good. it's just that because we are group animals inclined to want the best we are easy to manipulate, so, oftentimes change isnt for the best. maybe if our climate got better peoples actions would be too... but that's a bit of a loophole

yeahhhh very true. it is such a loophole and back and forth. but I've seen on average for me, at least most people I've known have been genuinely decent. feel like a lot of people just want to have a chill/good time. we are still animals too however. but at least we have pretty in depth ways can communicate
