Loooving life. Had a blast on Saturday, it was another restoration workday. For the place closest to me actually. Compared to Malcom, it was a much smaller group, a grand total of seven. Volunteering is so much fun, a great workout too!
I really liked talking to one of the younger dudes. I was without a doubt the youngest, but when I say 'younger' I'm meaning 20's-30's. He must've been in his late twenties, maybe early thirties. Definitely autistic, he was all too happy to indulge me in conversation regarding arthropods and his own interests. The man even asked me about sexual dimorphism when it comes to earwigs.
Get this, after I had babbled on about how earwigs exhibit maternal insticts [ which is rare among insects, let alone solitary insects ], he responded with talking about cichlids. A kind of fish for those not in the know. They're river fish and remarkably ALSO take care of their young, they carry them in their mouth he said. He also read [ a bit of ] 'Never Home Alone', one of my favorite books. Such an autism 2 autism moment. Do you know how many times I've been askes if earwigs exhibit sexual dimorphism? up until that point ZERO. So psyched to volunteer at Jameson again, I hope to converse with him again.
Aside from that, I resumed watching Arcane where I had left off. And DAMN is it good !! I adore the artstyle for that show. Also, Sevika is hot, same for Mel's mother. I'd say Jayce too but I'm not a fan of his face, personality, or actions. It's really just that he's buff and is shirtless a good chunk of the series.
Pulled me the hell in, then dumped me on the ass, twice. I watched it late friday night, then I was alerted that new episodes were out the next afternoon. Got rawdogged by clifhangers twice within a 24 hour period. So worth it.
Can't fucking wait for next saturday, not only is Arcane getting new episodes, I volunteer on saturdays, AND my beloved sister is coming back for the holidays. We're gonna watch that new studio gibli movie together, 'boy and the heron'? I'm not sure, it's something along those lines.
I also had a fieldtrip of sorts on friday[?], for one of the local-ish colleges. Seemed liked a nifty place, not super for me but it was nice regardless. I've been avoiding going on any school fieldtrips but I don't wanna miss out, so I guess I'm going on all foreseeable trips. The upcoming one is a shakespeare play, can't say I'm that excited.
Shakespeare leaves a bit of a foul taste in my mouth, not by any wrongdoings. Rather association and past nicknames. I don't have any particular connection to the play we're going to see, I figure it'll be alright [ albiet not my kinda thing ]
I'll have to get through of monday first before anything else happens. Before I drift off to snoozeville, I'm going to repeat something I said earlier: "Till then I am but a fool in shoes five sizes too big." I said it in regards to age but I'd say it applies to most things involving the future.
