When I was younger everything I did was considered "cringe". But what is the actual definition of being cringe? To define cringe it means to recoil in distaste. When we see something we define as cringe do we actually recoil in distase or do we just thing its just weird?
Let me define to you what we define as cringe:
-Certain behaviors (ex. being overly excited)
-Certain people (ex. furries, therians, age regressors)
-Certain music (ex. fandom music)
*Thats just some examples I can about at this very moment
What is actually cringe about any of these, is people enjoying themselves and being themselves considered cringe? Just let people enjoy themselves and be theirselves, it's not so difficult.

Just be happy yourself. Love yourself.

To be clear starting off, I dont have a problem with most of these things. The only one that's kinda funky is age regression. I think to an extent liking childish things is fine, but I think in cases of childhood trauma such mental regression is understandable. I do think that it may be an unhealthy and unproductive way to deal with genuine psychological trauma. Again in normal cases of just a normal run-of-the-mill adult just liking bluey or wanting to buy all the toys they wanted as a child is fine. But when you see things like adults doing things such as referring to their significant others by mommy or daddy or only wanting to eat dino nuggets for breakfast (NOT talking shit on dino nugs!!) and wearing matching Power Ranger pajama sets to bed its kinda funky, doesn't really sit right. But fundamentally yes I do agree with you some people just judge people and things harshly for clout.
