Went into the city yesterday, visited the beach, an arcade, a Chinese restaurant (delicious) and a bird rescue, forgot to post these lol.
A black crowned night heron! This specific bird was wild, likely just looking for scraps at the bird rescue. He was just chilling on top of a lamppost.
Another wild black crowned night heron! He was chilling on a rooftop. You can see what I believe is his nictitating membrane over his eye.
Here is what I believe to be a wild juvenile black crowned night heron! He was just walking around the rescue (likely also looking for scraps). Very adorable little dude, really happy about this shot as well!
Here is the rescue's resident bald eagle! Very regal looking bird, he was so cool! I took so many pics of him, definitely my favorite bird I saw at the rescue.More eagle pics below!
Had to use manual focus due to the fence, so the eagle pics might be a bit blurry.
His eyes are so cool! Loved this guy!
Here is a wild black vulture, who was just chilling on a treetop (also likely looking for scraps lol).
Some of the rescue's very cool American white pelicans! They were quite active yesterday, playing in their little pond, eating, etc. They were certainly very cool!
That's all the birds I got shots of at the rescue (also had a male American kestrel, multiple gulls, many owls (I really don't like taking owl pictures), and multiple kinds of hawks), couldn't get a lot of pics due to manual focus not working on most of the enclosure's fence, also went to the beach and got some cool shots of wild seabirds, but I'll save that for another date. I saw soooo many ospreys, egrets, anhingas, and cormorants out and about in the general area around the beach, also the usual visitors like gulls, terns, sandpipers, pelicans, etc.

WAIT???? THIS LOOKS LIKE???? THE SANCTUARY DOWN THE STREET FROM WHERE MY FAMILY LIVES????? If it is, then small world oh my goodness. We go there multiple times every time we visit!! I got a painting from a resident bird for Christmas this year actually!
