Aesthetics PISS ME OFF

The term and idea of aesthetics have been growing rapidly, and tbh. i hate it. It has caused us all to go braindead and obsessed with finding something unique and different about us as individuals, when in reality all it does is make us exactly like everyone else. We all try so hard to be different and cool, and all it does is make us the exact same. We as a people are ignoring how unique and special we truly are, if we would all just PUT DOWN THE PHONE, AND TAKE A CLEAR LOOK IN THE MIRROR TO NOTICE IT! 

The hard truth is, you can never, and WILL never be the exact aesthetic you wish to be on pinterest. You're far too unique of a person to ever be something so rigid. That isn't how humans work, its how computers work. All an aesthetic is, is a categoric system that you're put into based on a few specific things you like. Its shallow and completely ignores how HUMAN you really are. You may like or relate to things in a certain aesthetic, but it will NEVER be who you are and should never define you. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be one specific aesthetic.

I listen to a lot of punk music, pop punk, horror punk, punk rock, ska punk, etc. But calling myself just a punk would take away from who i really am. I love jazz, i love groove, funk, noir, grunge, beat poetry. Just like enjoying multiple genres of music, one can be part of many aesthetics. Stop trying so hard to find one that truly fits you, because you'll never find it. 

We need to stop looking for labels to define us in the best way possible, and look at the label that was already given to you... HUMAN. That in itself is the most unique and encapsulating label you could ever wear. And its all you need to be. I don't care to be labeled as anything else, because it will never encapsulate who i truly am.
