About being part of different subcultures

I feel like there is this general conception that people are always categorized strictly in one alternative subculture, but it feels a bit weird when you  participated in several ones.

For example I grew up with scenemo internet culture and music as a child/teen but I only started kind of adpoting the fashion now as an adult (parents and money heh). And in the middle of that I also had a strong punk era (which I got into because of political ideals). I still keep the same beliefs and appreciate the music but I'm not actively involved in the culture anymore.

Apart from the fact I dress basic 50% of the time bc lazy and comfy

So yeah, it's hard to define which group I feel I "belong" to? I just call myself alt if anything. Some people even percieve it as being a "poser" lmao, I just got several influences and appreciate them all.

Does anyone else have a similar experience?
