Hi Nards,

I've had this shit bottled up for about A YEAR NOW. And I'm TIRED OF IT. Three main topics I want to get into, Holidays, Technology, And Prices.

Holidays:

Halloween this year was terrible. There were absolutely NO KIDS on the streets. Barely anyone was outside at all. I, as a 20 YEAR OLD WOMAN, WITH A GROUP. OF OTHER GROWN ASS MFKZ. was being handed candy by DESPERATE home owners left and right, because nobody was trick or treating. Its like late teens and young adults are the only ones TRYING to cling onto the holiday, and keep it on life support. Its genuinely sickening. "You're too old to be trick or treating." Ok? BUT WHERE ARE THE KIDS?? PLAYING FORTNITE??!

Its not just Halloween either. Every holiday is just getting worse and worse. I know its not nostalgia talking either. This is a genuine international issue that you can find videos about from every part of the fucking globe rn. Nobody puts up Christmas lights, or indulges in Valentine's day, or wears cringey green outfits for St Patty's. Its truly depressing.

Technology:

Earlier today, I saw the most appalling video I've ever seen. This group of tourists were visiting the Colosseum, and instead of looking at THE HISTORY RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, THEY CHOSE, TO PAY PROBABLY HUNDREDS, TO WEAR A FUCKING VR HEADSET. Its literally... Right In front of you... Pure history, you're standing on the soil of a thousand stories from long ago, and you're wasting that loving moment you could be having with your family, for some shitty quality 360 VR experience about the thing LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! Jamiroquai was right, we are living in a virtual insanity. 

The other day, I decided to go eat inside of a burger king, because it had been a while. Across from my table was this small family. A mom, a dad, and a teenager, about 14. The kid went to the bathroom, and the parents were sitting right next to each other, watching videos separately on their phones. Nobody said a word. The kid came back, and i just saw the look on his face. There was a disappointment in his eyes for a moment, as he stood at the end of the table, before he just looked down and sat at the table, picking up his phone as he let out a sigh. A FUCKING SIGH. You're so fucking close to your family. You're right there. And you can't look up for one moment, just to say a word to each other? Every Fucking day, the only thing I'd dream of at that age was for my parent to sit that close to me, let alone say SOMETHING to me. 

Prices:

Inflation is literally killing the American public. I can't speak for other countries but i'm sure they're dying too. Its fucking deranged how high shit has been getting. Dollar Tree barely sells anything for a fucking dollar anymore. Prices at DOLLAR TREE shouldn't be the same as the prices at FUCKING WALMART. SOME OF WHICH, ARE CHEAPER THAN THE DOLLAR TREE PRICES. FOR THE SAME PRODUCT!!! Its driving me fucking mad. 

Goodwill, the THRIFT store. Is price gouging to a diabolical extent. You're getting your DONATIONS. For FREE. And selling them at UNREASONABLE prices. People go to your fucking stores because they cannot afford anything else. Fuck you, fuck those tiktok resellers, fuck it all. Have you noticed that you can't seem to find those dollar movie theaters anymore? Yeah they all WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. FUCK YOU. IK THEY'RE NOT THE BEST BUT I LIKED DRIVING IN MY DADS SHITTY 2006 HONDA ACCORD TO GO WATCH KUNG FU HUSTLE OR THE PHANTOM MENACE AND SIT ON A STICKY SQEAKY CHAIR NEXT TO A 46 YEAR OLD BALDING MAN RESEMBLING FAT BASTARD FROM AUSTIN POWERS, OK?! God fucking DAMN IT.

In short: 

We're fucked. Don't give away life's greatest treasures and traditions for temporary dopamine. And America.... GET UR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER.
