♡：DiaLovers Review

Hello world! This is a blog of all my dialovers related thoughts. I wanted to make this blog to not only get my thoughts down and have somewhere to rant and rave, but also to find other fans of dialovers. For context, Diabolik Lovers is an otome game that has 7 installments to the series, and a two season anime. I will be calling Diabolik Lovers DiaLovers for short because im lazy. Can you blame me?

For context of the series itself, the game takes place in Japan. The player, who I'll be referring to as Yui, are a teenage girl. Yui is kind and selfless as seen in the games, and has been raised to be religious by her adoptive father. One day, her father has to go on a trip overseas, and her father orders her to go to a house where she "Has relatives". She goes to the mansion, only to find a household of six vampire brothers; The Sakamakis. Without anywhere else to go due to being far from home, she is stuck living with them. This is the plot of the first game, Haunted Dark Bridal, and is clarified in the prologue. After the prologue you choose one of the brothers starting a route in the game. 

More Blood is the second game of the series. The prologue starts off a few months after the Haunted Dark Bridal prologue. However, you don't have to choose any of the brothers at first. Yui and the brothers are on the way to school when the limousine suddenly stops and eventually crashes. Yui gets a vision of a man calling her "Eve" while unconscious. When she wakes up, the brothers tell her that there was nobody else there, and somebody crashed the car. It is later revealed that another group crashed the car on purpose. Once arriving to school, Yui is inspected the the school doctor, Reinhart, and after a bit of chatting Yui goes to class, as well as the other brothers. Theres a timeskip to the end of the school day, and Yui is approached by another student to fill in for her cleaning duty. Yui says yes, and starts cleaning. When going outside to the take trash out, Yui bumps into the same group of boys in the alleyway. They refer to her as Eve, and Yui, confused, turns to leave. However, one of them step infront of her and is held in place by him. Yui panicks, while one of them walks forwards to inspect her. He introduces him and the others as brothers who transferred to the school recently. Their conversation is cut short when one of the Sakamaki brothers, Shuu, interrupts. He tells them to leave, and the group does. The other Sakamaki brothers catches up to them, and this is where Yui explains what had happened. The next morning (night?), the brothers decides that the group from before, the Mukami brothers, were dangerous. They settled on the theory that they are trying to take Yui for themselves, and tells Yui to pick one of the brothers to watch over her. This starts the routes for the Sakamaki brothers.

Right now, I only play More Blood, since the first game is a little.. extreme ..(⁠๑⁠•⁠﹏⁠•⁠) BUT! They definitely haven't taken away all of their mean..ness? I have played Haunted Dark Bridal though, but I completed Kanato and Shuu's route. I am a little over halfway through Ayatos route.. But I'm not sure if I'll be finishing it since playing More Blood is WAY easier because I have an English patch for it, and it's on my phone! Super convenient ♪⁠ I will be updating this blog whenever I have finished any routes. There may be long break periods,, but don't worry! This game (Especially Haunted Dark Bridal) can be graphic at times. I will add proper TWs for routes of the game accordingly when I decide to update this blog with said route.

I will be posting about the Dark, Maniac, Ecstacy, and Endings of each route best I can. I will not be reviewing the Vampire and Brute end, since the Manservant end are bad endings with no CGs. Happy reading!
