Tyler's old stuff

so I dont know if yall heard but Tyler The Creator's CHROMAKOPIA came out and honestly I think musically it is pretty okay a solid 8/10 although not his best sounding album it is definitely his most mature album but the entire time I was listening to it I couldn't help but to soothe the urge to listen to his older and I'd say better sounding stuff

going back to listen to Bastard/Goblin is honestly such a refresher from a world of mainstream music I love these 2 albums and you definitely feel the angst and horrorcore elements in these albums, the transgressional lyrics are triggering but almost in a good way, it hits just the right nerves you don't really expect it to my favorite songs from these 2 albums are probably VCR and Transylvania

I think an album that more people should check out is Wolf, Goblin gets alot of recognition to this day from that one song She but I think that Wolf is very complimentary to Goblin but also extends tyler's talents to a more welcoming tone compared to his previous 2 albums, it also kind of sets this welcome mat for Cherry Bomb as to not make that album's introduction out of place, tracks to check out I would def say Jamba, Colossus, and BLOW MY LOAD

To be fairly honest I've never listened to Flower Boy besides See You Again a couple of times when that was trending, but I listened to the IGOR album in its entirety when it came out several times and I still go through the album in order to this day it is really his magnum opus imo, I love every track and it really shows how much tyler has developed his sound, Igor out of all of his albums probably has the most unique sound, I still remember that its actually my first real introduction to Tyler as I only listened to his older stuff on and off with my friends playlist in the car whenever we hung out, it was a great opener to his musical story for me, with Call Me If You Get Lost I felt like tyler regressed back to his more mainstream sound and stepped away from the experimental sounds of IGOR and we probably will never hear another IGOR (which honestly I was expecting CHROMAKOPIA to be), not to say that CMIYGL was a bad album, its definitely up there, my favorite tracks from this group probably has to be Igor's Theme, A BOY IS A GUN*, Juggernaut

If I had to rank all of his albums it'd probably look like this (highest = better)

IGOR 10

Wolf 9

Call Me If You Get Lost 9

CHROMAKOPIA 8

Goblin 8

Bastard 7

Cherry Bomb 7

Flower Boy (?)
