My experience moving to another country

```﹒𓎢𓎠𓎠𓎠﹒🩸﹒𓎠𓎠𓎠𓎡﹒```
The pandemic was a mess in everyone’s life, and mine was no different. In my city, schools shut down, and since I never had much money, I couldn’t do online classes either. I finished the 5th grade and just kept “passing” each year after that. No one really prepared me for school, so I felt a bit lost with everything.
At some point, my dad decided to move to Portugal. He came here about three months before me and my mom, and those months without him were really tough for me. I’ve always been super close to my dad, so I missed him a lot. Finally, on December 3rd, my mom and I came over. We arrived in the morning, and I still remember December 5th it was my first birthday away from everyone I loved back in Brazil. It was hard, to say the least.
🩸 THE ADAPTATION:🩸
Arriving in Portugal felt like landing in a whole new world everything was different. The culture, the rules... the culture shock was real. But the hardest part was school. Since I’d gone three years without studying properly, they put me straight into the 8th grade. And, well, it was a disaster. I wasn’t prepared for it at all and couldn’t keep up with the classes. The result? I ended up repeating two years.
It was really tough. Not just with the teachers but also with the Portuguese students. At first, I felt completely out of place. I didn’t know where I fit in or how to connect with people around me. Honestly, I still feel like I haven’t fully adapted. Haha
Despite all the struggles, I know being in Portugal has given me opportunities I might never have had in Brasil. But the truth is, no matter how good things are here, I love my country. I wouldn’t trade Brasil for anything. I don’t know what the future holds, but one thing I know for sure: one day, I’ll go back to my homeland and live there. ✨
