Emerald, my crush?

So, I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I just need to spill my thoughts about someone who’s been on my mind—let’s call him Emerald. He’s this amazing guy in my class, and honestly, I can’t help but feel a little fluttery whenever I think about him.

Emerald and I have known each other since Year 8, and it’s been quite the journey. We’ve been through so much together, especially when it comes to mental health. I remember those tough days when he would lean on me for support, and i’d always be there, understanding and kind. It’s like we have this unspoken bond, you know? 

Recently, he told me that his phone got confiscated by his mum, and I couldn’t help but be a little cheeky. I texted him, “Noo, what happened king?” I don’t know what came over me, but I just slipped it in there! To my surprise, he was totally chill with it. Maybe it was a little risky, but it felt good to be playful with him. 

Today, while I was sitting in VCE Legal Studies, I noticed him looking for a seat. I thought he was going to sit next to me, but then someone else took that spot. Ugh, my heart sank a little! It’s funny how something so small can feel so significant. I just love how beautiful he is, inside and out. Even before his “glow up,” I thought he was special. 

Honestly, it’s crazy how feelings can develop over time. I never expected to like him this much, but here we are. I’m just grateful for our friendship and everything we’ve shared. Who knows where things might go from here? For now, I’ll just keep enjoying our moments together and see what happens.
