Helloo! Welcome to my blog :). I've had an eventful weekend, so here I am documenting it! I'm not used to writing out my thoughts in an organized manner (or even grammatically lol), so apologies if I screw up a little ^__^'
Friday - Nov/8
I skipped school for a mental health break, making this a three-day weekend! Unfortunately, I still had to wake up at 5:30am to get my sister up & ready for school. My dad didn't care that much tbh, I think he understood, as my face gets CARTOONISHLY expressive whenever I'm upset. Plus I get good enough grades so ++++++.
As for the day itself, I worked on the current CSS for my profile til 1pm, then later went to my grandfather's & played trivia! Most Fridays me & the fam head over for dinner there; I'm not obligated to go or anything, but I understand that spending time with the people you love is important!!!
Saturday - Nov/9
Ohh boy, the big one! Originally I had nothing planned for Saturday; just sleeping in and working on my "Global Perspectives" essay. That was until 3pm, when my friend dm'd me asking if I go to the American Thrift Store together. This friend, I will call them D! (if you are reading this, D, then haiii hai ^__^!!)
Anyway, I stuffed 20 bucks in my pocket and had my father drive us! My friend yapped quite a bit on the ride there about things like college & how their boss sucks, but I honestly didn't mind. Yes, D talks a lot, but they do it in a such a comforting way, like reading a personal blog or something *cough*. Continuing, we get to the thrift store and buy some stuff yada yada!! I didn't expect to actually buy anything, just helped by giving a second opinion... BUT .........
Literally, "I wear your granddad's clothes, I look incredible". AND 25 DOLLARS!!&%^E*R&(FTTF WHAT A STEAL OMFG.
Anyway, we got done shopping and felt starved... so D and I walked around the plaza looking for a food joint. We basically walked around the whole place! Eventually, we jay-walked across the street looking for more restaurants, settling on a place after some rough-looking dudes started walking towards us. We ordered, we waited, then took our food and sat near a secluded parking spot.
What I'm eating here is a mushroom burger covered in sauce, thank you D for the meal :)!
My father actually called me while taking the pic lolol, telling me to come home since it was dark, so we made a plan to meet at one of the stores! We actually did a bit more shopping & tomfoolery afterwards LMAO,, but that's the gist of it. He also told me that my friend could come over for dinner! Honestly I was a bit tired at this point, but I knew D was going to college soon + it's nice when my parents like one of my friends...
A few more interesting stuff happened, like when we sang "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" on the ride home, but this segment is already big enough to be its own blog and I've had this draft for 3 days now!!!
Sunday - Nov/10
Ough, on this day I didn't do much other than attending a work event for my step-mom. We went to Flanigan's, a local Irish bar, and ate food there... I was allergic to like 70% of the menu (shrimp) so I just ate a Caesar salad lololol..
I will say the highlight was complimenting this really muscular waitress... oh myyy gawd. I said to them that I liked their hair because I'm respectful like that... you'll never catch my ass disrespecting a worker,,,, anyway she said thank you with this genuine smile. I got flustered so bad I had to sit in the car and internally squeal.. I'm genuinely so loser-like, I'm just a dork with no bitches 😔 *sigh*
I hope you enjoyed my first "real" entry!! Let me know if there are any specific topics you'd like to hear; I'm planning on blogging more in these upcoming weeks, so stay tuned...
