If you're anything like me and have a touch of the 'tism (and if you're on SpaceHey, you likely do) and get easily startled and angered by sudden autoplay on people's profiles, get AutoplayStopper for Chrome. I think there's similar options for Firefox and other browsers too. You can customize which sites you want to allow autoplay for.

"just mute the site!!" do you think i'm fucking stupid lol
sometimes there are audio elements that DON'T autoplay, but do when clicked on (see: the TV on my blog). and if videos are embedded in a post, muting spacehey will mute that video even when clicked on (unless you open that video in another tab, which is annoying to do). this at least gives people a choice.
how about asking *why* i and other ppl don't just mute the site instead of obnoxiously asking (or arrogantly telling me) "hAvE yOu hEaRD oF mUting wEbsiTEs??"
