is devil may cry 3 supposed to be hard or do i just suck at the game

okay so i just got dmc 3 and it took me an embarrassing amount of tries to do mission 2 and the cerberus boss (i refuse to go on easy)


i mix between sword master and gunslinger and i can pull decent combos(-ish) 

in dmc5 i managed to do the story without any struggle so its okay if i suck. dante mains forgive me

anyways 
pls i need help

apart from that the games been pretty fire
