Why are people shit?

I wish people weren't so shitty? Like how hard is it to think about what you want to say or do will affect others? Why not try to be better? It's not snowflake mentality to  not want to be an asshole- it's being a compassionate and caring person. The world is full of asshole but you don't have to contribute to the problem. Be the change you want to see in the world.
