i seriously cant tell if im a disrespectful person

so i keep seeing videos on my tiktok fyp about gods such as aphrodite, apollo, hades, etc. people are saying that the gods are mad based off how their candle flames are burning in weird patterns (they have altars that look cool with candles n stuff) and i wouldve genuinely like to try to get into their beliefs because i want to be able to talk to apollo and rant (as ive seen videos on) but i dont know if im being disrespectful because i genuinely know nothing about it and i just think it would be a nice thing to do. please lmk how you feel about this but before i end theres one more thing i need to talk about.

my girlfriend likes using they/them pronouns (they're ok with me calling them my girlfriend btw) but i keep forgetting to adress them using that and i feel so disrespectful because i asked about it to i said what their preferred pronouns are and they said they/them and i still continue to get it wrong i feel mean and disrespectful and i dont want to be.
