dumb poem i wrote about the election

we lose and

we lose,

and that’s all we seem to do.

yet we get back up

because giving in

is losing not only them

but ourselves. 

we face

defeat, but we are 

not defeated.

we are set back, but

we push forward.

for our lives, for our liberties, for our pursuits of happiness.

for what we want 

for the future,

for those who we leave behind 

what we have now.

what do we have now?

what do we not?

what will we get when we

keep going

keep running

keep hoping

keep seeing a future 

where 

america is what it was made 

on the foundation of.

we will be free.
