First ever paycheck this Friday

I got my first ever paycheck from my new job on Friday ^_^ I work as a courtesy aide in a nursing home and I’m going to buy the state exam so I can get certified.

My last job was at Dairy Queen. Won’t say much about it. It’s in the past. I didn’t get very many hours. I did work and get quite a bit of money. I only got access to my bank account earlier this month or late this month. My earnings were automatically sent to my bank account.

Friday, I got my first check. Yesterday, my dad and I went to the bank to cash it out. Thirty dollars in the checking account, the rest cash back. They gave me a hundred dollar bill. Wow. I haven’t seen that since I wasted my birthday money on amusement ride tickets xd My dad took the hundred dollar bill and exchanged it for a few twenties, fives, tens. So I wouldn’t lose it all in one place! While at the bank, I saw my coworker. She taught me how to do a check.

I practiced diving. I did poorly. It’s been so long since I’ve last drove. I’m pretty sure when I did, my dad’s partner was still here (she just left).

I went to a uniform store and got a few scrubs, a jacket, and a shirt to wear underneath the scrubs. Also got two pairs of compression socks. My mom wore tight ass compression socks as a nurse all the time, mainly due to her flat feet and crow feet. Same here.

Now I’m walking da dog some before I get ready for work. About fifteen minutes ago, I bought a Kindle Paperwhite for a hundred dollars altogether. I’ve been on the fence on whether I wanted a Kobo or a Kindle. I had a white Kobo Libra 2… Then I lost it on a dang cruise ship. Yeah. I still want to get another Kobo. I enjoyed the buttons on it. I liked reading while I was in the bathtub.

Since I’ve only had Kobos for e-readers, I decided to try something new and get a Kindle. I hope it serves me well. Hopefully the screen doesn’t scratch as easily as the Kobo does. Mine got scratched only about a week into owning it. The Kindle Paperwhite has a glass screen. It looks more like a tablet.

I should have gotten that Kobo Libra 2 come to think of it, due to all of the storage it had, but it’s too late now! I need to save up my money. Hopefully the Kindle serves me well. I mainly intend to use Libby on it. I know there are a bunch of ads, but I believe you could call Amazon support to have them removed? This will be my first ever Kindle and I’ll be sure to take good care of it! It should be here by the 14th-19th.
