The Difference between Existentialism and Absurdism

(Correct me through the comments or give me criticism about my understanding of this subject, not sure if got some points correctly.)

For the sake of time, Existentialism is a belief that while life has no meaning or purpose, every person has the freedom and responsibility to create their own meaning. While Absurdism is the same, the only difference is that they don't care that life has no meaning because the search for meaning is an absurd pursuit. Instead of being disoriented by this, they accept it and focus on the freedom it gives.

The differences:

As I've said before, existentialism is a belief that life has no meaning, but one sees it as a challenge to create one's own meaning. Existentialists believe that people take responsibility for defining their own lives and values, despite their meaninglessness.

Absurdism also accepts the fact that life has no inherent meaning but argues that in search for the meaning itself is absurd. They see the contradiction between giving meaning and the universe's indifference, and they embrace this without trying to resolve it. Instead of trying to find meaning, they focus on living freely within this absurd reality.

The core difference between these two is how they respond to the lack of inherent meaning in life.
