Why are books so expensive,,

I was looking for books online and OBVIOUSLY its gonna be expensive,, cuz like,,, its Amazon... but oh my godz bro 30 dollars for a book...AND NOT EVEN A NEW ONE , ONE THAT CAME OUT TEN. WHOLE. YEARZ AGO.

and so i think ok yeah yk but its oline so i go in person to a barnes and noble. and. lord. 25 dollars for a  200 page book. 15 dollars for what is basically a picture book. UPWARDS OF 40 DOLLARS FOR A SET OF LIKE....three...whole...books...

i remember that there are books at thrift stores, might as well go there, right?

sigh. 

ten. whole. dollars. for a water stained-ripped up-missing the cover-book. i bought it anyway. because. it was no longer human. but like.

WHY. WHY are they doing this to me,,, im a broke highschool student i cant be doing this......
