So, I was in a school band for about a month before !long post!

I play drums. Have been palying since around 2018. 

I am in high school and don't have music class, but my friend V does. Her Music teacher told her class that she is trying to make a school band that would play couple of songs for Schools 130. anniversary. My V being V, said that she knows a drummer that would be intereste. Theacher said that she has a place where there are some drums, a studio( as far as I have concluded). Since I got that there are some drumms on which I could accualy play, I joined the band.

Now, the first problem was that at the start, the practices were being held at school in one empty classroom. Other musicians/students were able to bring their guitars and violins there, but I could participate since there were no drumms. So I praticed the songs at home, no problem, right?

Well, then the songs which we were supoused to play were being changed, like, constantly. At first there were only three songs, then they added more, but then they removed some. Basicly, everytime I would finnaly learn a song, they would remove it from the program . 💀

Btw- when I write they, I mean the director of the play, since we were doing this as a "soundtrack" for a play that the drama club was doing.

Then, after some time, they managed to finaly conclude what songs were going to be performed. I had learned how to play them, and it was al good. All I had to do was wait for my teacher to arange one of the pratices at that studio she talked about.

At the same time, we , the bend, had gotten a new classroom to work in. It was weird to me why we would need a new clasroom if we weren't going to have more pratices in school. 

There was no studio. 😭 ToT

She expected me to bring my drumms in school and have them in that room all the time until we would perform. I was kinda disapointed, but I was debateing to really bring them to school. I have electric drumms and they are harder to set up then acoustic drumms. Like, much more complicated since there are weirs and stands. I really didn't want to, and then I just deciaded to quit the band whole when teacher told me I would also need to bring them to the theatar and a collage for performance. 

In the end, after litteraly crying because I had no idea what the fak to do with that all, I jus told teacher I am quitting the band.
