Chemical equilibrium

Today, I would like to talk about a topic named Chemical equilibrium, but before talking about chemical equilibrium ,we must know about equilibrium, Equilibrium is defined as a state in reaction when concentration of reactant and product remains same, .

Now, we talk about two types of reaction ,first is reversible reaction, In this type of reaction reactants can be converted into products and products can be converted into reactants, These types of reactions double arrow is used and these type of reactions are usually in equilibrium, In this type of reactions, when reactant is converted into products , it is known as forward reaction and when product is to be converted back into the reactants it is known as backward reaction.

Next type of reaction is irreversible reaction, in this type of reaction when reactant is converted into product, it cannot be converted back, it only has forward reaction, It is represented by single arrow.

Now we know about the basic, so now we talk about

equilibrium constant(Keq)

For a reaction aA+bB (double arrow)cC+dD

Keq=(C)^c(D)^d/(A)^a(B)^b

further I will tell in next part, wait till then.
