They start off cool, then some stop responding fast, then they accuse you of stealing another artist's song even after you show them the proof. Some will even ask you to send signed documentations for the use of samples. Documentation that wasn't even asked for or offered with the samples in the first place. I make music in my bedroom, where would I have gotten a contract for free samples from youtube and google? What in the world? I just found out that one of the better ones said that featured artists don't get a cut. And I have to pay to add someone else as a main artist. I'm trying to get my application approved by one company that is free and has a 70/30 split. They won't tell me how I messed it up but I found one error I tried to fix and I don't know how to get them to check again. At this point I'm considering paying for a distributor for this next album.
