plant of the day: apple of sodom

Calotropis procera or apple of sodom is a plant tipical of nothern africa, but is present in many tropical countries (like the northwest of brazil, where i live). It's name comes from the fact that it looks edible, but theyre actually very poisonous to human beings.


In my personal experience, i could say the apples of sodom are one of my favorite plants. In my highschool there were a lot of them, and i always found their fruits and flowers so pretty! Tho no one seemed to care besides me. I always took care of my babes, and even when they were killed by the school, they would always revive <3. I even named my first ep after them ("Maçãs de Sodoma").it just shows how much beauty there is in everyday life.

So yeah cool plant, theyre also a trinket in The biding of isaac which makes them 10/10 plant.
