New in Dungeons and Dragons

So I'm really interested in that, I've been watching so many D&D gameplays, info, I've been reading the books (the ones for the DMs because I'd like to become one and also the ones with the monsters and the one for the players) I also did a big research and I'm taking the info in paper. But idk I feel like I have to talk to some specialist with the game, but I don't know anyone. Only the father of a friend of mine's, but idk I'm kinda shy so idk how to ask him that.
