skin :)))

i wanna info dump because I have no one to talk to about this stuff so lets go :D 

our skin is our largest organ, it weighs about 9 lb and covers an area of about 21 square feet. skin forms a waterproof layer that protects us from the elements, it also lets us feel temperature and the texture of things.
skin is split into 3 layers, the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis.

the epidermis-
The outermost layer of the skin

the dermis- The inner layer, composed of dense connective tissue containing the nerves and blood vessels that supply the skin

the hypodermis-
The layer of loose connective tissue under the skin
