Hiiii!!! My pen name is Alice Redroot. I randomly chose the last name but the first name comes from my mental disorder. I have AIWS (Alice In Wonderland Syndrome) a lot of people tell me that it isn't real, especially at school. I am fourteen as of now (born in 2010) and am learning to speak Japanese. I'm writing here on spacehey because if I were to share these poems and writings at school, I would most likely regret it later on, now that I think of it it makes no sense to avoid showing my extremely small school these things, and then publish those very same things to the entirety of the world. but oh well. I also enjoy painting, so I might show a few of my visual artworks as well. Anyway, I hope I can entertain you all with my poems, and be friends with you guys too!!! here are some short poems written below, enjoy!! (TW: depressing themes.)
Chess game of melancholy.
You said you were tired
How much do you lie
He said he would play
So why not with I
You both sat down
The game ready to play
No matter how much i wished
I couldn't join you that day
I sat on the side
Processing your lie
As the checkers on the board
Further mocked my sigh
You wanted to play
A game meant for two
But what I wouldn't have expected
Is for you to say that line
‘No, not with you’
A flame created
Was it true
The fire extinguisher sabotaged
The mechanism jammed
Was it her
The girl who wasn't born but lit
Who was not a human but a flame
Parents seeking fuel
Burned by their creations touch
Beautiful as a butterfly
Dangerous as a hawk
Wild as a tiger
Deceiving as a snake
No person could recognize
Her innocent façade was just a disguise.
Gone is the light
As the day turned to night
As she searched for the light
Would she have the strength to fight
Or would she accept her fate
The bright angel in sight
Could she ever say goodbye
To any one left behind
Or perhaps she just wished
That this moment would’ve come sooner
So she could die die die.
The swing set wedding
When the wedding took place
The dandelion crown
The daisy rings
When we said the vows
Under their command
The playground church
The unofficial 'I do'
The swing set podium
The slide aisle
My little yellow dress
Your grass stained shorts.
Would it ever be you and me
But alas that was a fantasy
One that would never truly come to be.
Unknown Lover
I remember that day
I thought you were there
We were out in the field
A flower in your hair
Why you wouldn't stay
Why you left that day
For the war unfair
You were young but over there
Blood stained your hair
The flower on the battlefield
You eyes never did lay on that letter I sent
It remained unrevealed
Memories trapped
The life we could of had
But when you didn't respond
Yet your name wasn't engraved in stone
I knew for once that I was always alone
My mind plays tricks
My brain all fake
I knew you were the dream
But you never did come true
The deep unfilled blue
The lover in the field
Remained to every passer-by unrevealed.
