I am genuinely so devastated about the election. I just want to cry. I don't know what will happen to me or my family. My mom isn't really a citizen of the US, and over half of my family isn't either. I don't think my dad can claim me either since he is disabled. Considering how horrible he is, I don't understand how people could vote for trump. He has SA'd someone and has multiple different things against him. The next time he's in court will be his very own court hearing. Nothing is made in the US and trump wants to put a tariff on imported goods, but practically everything is imported. He was saying "I'll make the other countries pay the tariff" That's not what a tariff is. Other countries don't pay them, the US taxpayers do. People should have access to abortion rights regardless of anything, and I just can't deal with all of this stress. He also wants to get rid of the Department of Education which is what regulates what gets taught in school and it helps financial aid and things of that sort for college. Think of every marginalized group being at a loss. Disabled people, POC, Queer people, Women, non-Christian (So Muslims, Jewish people, and other religions are also being targetted as well). I just feel so sick. I don't want to go live in Mexico where the cartels are, but I also don't want to stay in the US.

Lmfao, your understand the issues put forth by the candidates is at a high school level. Leave the worrying to the adults who can actually name their congressman without looking it up.

I won't "leave the worrying" to the adults when my own family and everyone around me is going to be affected. It's insane and impossible for me NOT to worry. My family will be split up, and if you haven't done your own research on what trump wants to implement, you should probably look more. (And it is likely for these things to be implemented when so much of the congress and people in power are on his side.)

Unless you're living with a bunch of illegals, you're fine. People cried about the same stuff last time and guess what. Nothing happened. You "survived" four years of Trump. What's another four.

Well this time there are more people in Congress that are on trumps side and have the same views since they were put in by trump during his last term. So, it is more likely for bills to be overturned and more things to go south very quickly. And a lot of people that support trump have been absolutely insane (January 6th + people setting fire to polls, and getting violent or using scare tactics). Who is to say these people won't do the same thing again, or use more force knowing that last time the force they used wasn't enough. And yes, where I live the majority of people are not documented, or citizens.

It's like the entire system is set up in his powers. His supporters love him like a god and follow him like he's their faith. The people in the government are on his side, so it's like total power, and billionaires also endorse him. (We should both know how far money gets people.)

You know your account can be traced right? You probably shouldn't admit that.

And so is rape, storming the capitol, harbouring important government documents, and many other things, but trump has done them all before. His followers are extremists, so you should be able to expect and be ready for the extreme.

Gonna be honest I didn't read anything after you admitted to being an illegal. https://www.ice.gov/webform/ice-tip-form

I never said I myself was illegal, I said the people that live where I live were mostly illegal or just not citizens, but that's crazy how you refuse to read or listen to what I say just because of what you think. Being illegal doesn't make me less human. People come here to get a better life and get away from the cartels. Being illegal and just not being citizens are different, but trump doesn't want non-citizens. I am a citizen because I was born here, and so is my dad, but my dad can't claim me because he is disabled, so I would have to go with my mom. My mom isn't illegal, but my dad can't claim her even though they are married (Because my dad is disabled)

I'm terrified as well. It pains me to know that my own dad voted that orange bastard. I genuinely thought Harris would win; I had so much hope. People are still saying that lots of votes haven't been counted though, that Harris still has a chance - but I don't want to have any more false hope. It can be a possibility, but honestly, this countries just full of disappointments.

I agree, I just don't know what to do anymore.

Neither do I. My family is all happy; I basically cried myself to sleep watching the election. Even my own father voted for that thing. I love my family a lot, but this shit is really upsetting me. I really hope that something happens, even though I doubt it will. I just want Harris to win SOMEHOW. I don't want to grow into an adult with this fucking orange leading the country.

And even after his term, I just feel like he has set it up to do a total take over. Its so weird that every other country doesn't want to involve themselves in the US if trump is the president, but Kim Jong Un (North Korea's dictator) and Putin (Russia's dictator) are more than willing to be friendly with the US if it's run by trump... It's just weird that they are both dictators, and trump has tried to lead a take over before (January 6th )

Yeah, it's just awful. Seeing these Trumpie's laugh at us like this is just a sport's game is even more infuriating. Almost everyone who voted Kamala is upset because of fear - so many people are terrified. People who were upset about Trump losing in 2020? They weren't scared for their rights, their lives, anything. They just had their pannies in a bunch.

The only people that trump benefits is rich white abled men. There will be more taxes for poorer people, trump doesn't even see disabled people as people? Trump has been racist forever, and trump isn't fair toward women. It literally effects everyone.

Yeah, exactly. But of course his supporters won't believe it. They'll see eventually. Just wait til their complaining when it's what they voted for.

Exactly, it just pisses me off.
