Dear diary,

We found Basil. He was hiding out in an abandoned house, down the street from his own house. I'm not even sure why we didn't look there. At least he's safe, even if he refuses to tell us why he left. Sunny is getting very good at the violin, and I might even ask for him to be in the recital with me!
