IRON MAIDEN | 11/2/24

oh my god dude this show was such a fkn good time! i knew i'd have to be at the venue super early, the doors opened at 6:30 so i got there at 2 😭  and even 4 hours early there were 40 people in front of me on line, but it was fine cuz there was a guy writing numbers on peoples hands so we could go walk around and still come back to our place on line. i took a nap in a mattress store in the mall across the street from the venue cuz i was SO tired. anyway after that was the only negative thing about the show, which once again was just the venue. barclays center r such opps bro security took damn near everything we were wearing bc they werent allowed in the building (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)

 anything with studs, spikes and metal on it was confiscated. they even took people's bullet belts away and theyre so expensive??? a belt isnt a weapon! ANYWAY when i finally got inside i was behind this really tall woman so i was sad i might not be able to see, and would have to have my phone up more than i like to (ik i take a lot of pictures and a couple videos at shows but im still aware of the people around me and i dont like to have my phone out the entire show, that's lameeee)

but fortunately i got lucky bc the lady started talking to me and we chatted a bit! she and her husband were there seeing iron maiden for maybe the 5th time this year (luckyyy) and i told her it was my first time EVER seeing them and i was there by myself so SHE LET ME HAVE HER SPOT AT THR FRONT I NEARLY SOBBED SHE WAS SO NICEEEEE so as we're waiting for the show to start her husband starts chatting with me and hes like "yea maiden shows are pretty chill, everyone's real nice so we'll look out for u" mf my eyes started to burn i was so happy these strangers were being so friendly

ANYWAY. iron maiden put on one hell of a show! it was a nice change of pace seeing a flashy, theatrical metal show instead of like, a beatdown moshing-push around small women-super angry lyrics kinda show (WHICH I STILL REALLY ENJOY DONT GET ME WRONG! THE DAY AFTER THIS SHOW I WENT TO SEE DYING FETUS AND GOT PUSHED AROUND PLENTY! (prob making a blog about that show too))

bruce was shooting fireworks out of a sci-fi looking gun and there were pyrotechnics n shit it was AWESOMEEE!!! and they played 2 of my all time favorite iron maiden songs! (days of future past and can i play with madness! they didnt play prowler from thier self titled album but they played the self titled track from that album so i won either way)

i really hope i get to see them again one day! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
