Hair Problems [rant]

I hate dealing with my hair, it seriously drives me crazy! I have 4c hair, but I'd give anything and EVERYTHING to have straight 1a hair :(

There's sooo much maintenance that goes into keeping hair like mine nice and growing steadily, and I'm just not willing to put that much work in because it's overwhelming. If I had things completely my way I'd go all the way bald, but my boyfriend doesn't like it that way, so that's kind of out the window.. I know I could wear wigs, I have one that's my absolute favorite(pictures here, if you're curious :3), but after not even thirty minutes of wearing it, every time it just ends up looking like I have a rats nest on my head, and I can't seem to find any cute, high quality but also reasonably priced emo wigs anywhere, man! There's the route of flat ironing it, which I did for a while once before, but you can't wash it for long periods of time and I have a dandruff problem so it gets kinda gross fast :/ also it's not even majestic, it's just stiff. Then there's the closely related alternative to that: perming it. No, I don't want straight hair that bad that I'm willing to risk getting every kind of cancer known to man(not really) just for it to burn my scalp and ruin my shit! I've settled on dreading my hair up; I didn't want to do so for a hot while, for good reason, though. You see..I'm pretty damn grimy, and so when you've got your hair matting atop your head basically and you're not washing it?? Pee yew, onion boy...I mean, I wash my hair, but I've got issues with hygiene so it's hard to keep up with..

I've kept it short, but I look like an old man, with the shape it grows in, it doesn't help that I'm actually fucking BALDING!!! I think it might fr be female pattern baldness, I'm gonna throw a temper tantrum. Hopefully if and when I have bangs though, they'll cover them up well enough,,
