that one time i encountered a shadow person

ok so this is a story from when i waz vv little (maybe like 6-8 y.o. but idk exactly). I AM LIKE 99 PERCENT SURE THAT WHAT I SAW WAS REAL but i still dont know exactly lol

so i was in bed and i waz tryna go to sleep. though when i opened my eyes i saw a humanoid shaped shadow standing right next my bed FUCKING LOOKING RIGHT AT ME.  it didnt actually have eyes but somehow iknew that it was me that it was looking at. i couldnt see the entire body of the entity, there waz only the head popping out from the side of the bed.

understandably lil ol me got freaked out but i didnt move, bcos i thought that if i showed it that i was awake smth bad would happen. i tried forcing myself to sleep (bcos then i wouldnt have to think of what was next to my bed lol) by constantly keeping my eyes closed but that didnt work ofc. everytime i opened my eyes to take a peek it waz still there

now since my bed is positioned just in the corner of my room theres one long side and one short side that r facing the walls (idk if u get this but lkdfjg), so i thought that if i managed to turn my back to the thing i would finally b able to fall asleep and it would go away.

i finally mustered up the courage to turn around (while still preteding that i waz asleep aka just turning in my sleep, bcos for some reason i was afraid to show that i was aware of its presence) and closed my eyes

but then when i opened my eyes I SAW THAT FUCKING THING AGAIN

IT WAS LEANING OVER THE BED

JUST SO THAT IT COULD STARE ME IN THE FACE

i could see it from the corner of my eye bro 😭😭😭. it seemed like it should have been very tall bcos it somehow had managed to lean over the entire horizontal length of the bed to look at me

anyway i finally managed to fall asleep and i dont rememer if i looked around the room to check if there were signs that some1 had been there but i probably didnt lol

the only reason im not completely sure that this happened is bcos the same day i had read some childrens book and in it there was a chapter in which the characters encountered some time of apparition and that might have freaked me out lmao
