uhh what do i say,... this is like stuff about my ocs.. i dont have a world name for them.. i just made the world lore like yesterday and its been brewing for a little in my head. anyways ill start with the world building stuff and then were gonna get onto the characters. the whole world building segment is gonna be more past related and how the androids were actually made and stuff... thats just cuz i cant think of anything for the present rn. i should add that many of the words here aren't spelled correctly, english isnt my native language anyways though

                                                           world building

in 2068 machines named androids started being privately designed, with the first working prototypes being made in late 2068. these machines were made for making a more durable and long lasting version of humans; as the idea was to transfer the human consciousness into a robotic body. the first time scientists tried to put the consciousness of someone into one of these robots was in 2071, the whole process was tested on death row inmates that signed a contract agreeing to this. out of the 25 inmates, only 7 of them were successfully transferred. throughout 2071 and 2074 new models of the "consciousness transfers", as the scientists called them, were made using better tech. later in 2076 the androids were announced to the public. then in 2077 people were actually able to use the services and transfer their consciousness into their own customized androids; for the first couple of years only the extremely rich were able to do this since the price was really high. but with time it went down when newer cheaper, yet weaker, versions were made of the androids.

this whole thing is revolving around a unnamed (for now atleast C :>) engineering student during 2098. but while some sort of new pandemic seems to infect the world, its probably nothing to worry about though.

Vex - a short tempered, apathetic android, its like hes always looking for a fight. most of the time he does things on his own or just for himself, not caring if he'll help anyone else, but very rarely he'll try his best to support others. but with his personality he most of the time makes it worse. doesnt open up or talk about his past at all.

hes one of the older models, those do go for way cheaper than the more modern designs. he doesnt have many people he considers close to himself either.

Synth - a popular musician, he used to make electronic music before this whole apocalypse started. easygoing and calm most of the time, even with an injury in their left hand they manage to stay positive. tries his best to help as many people as they can, they dont even expect anything in return!

hes smaller than most androids, only standing at a hight of 5'6 when the average is 5'10. he comes from a better city, but had to evacuate due to the alarming rate of the disease spreading. his left hand is crumbling off, he often uses it to block attacks since its already broken. a small crack on his stomach is also held together by duct tape.

random things about the characters.. and maybe some more interesting things... its all just android lore + Vex and Synth stuff now, ill update the engi students part when i draw them and like figure out who the fuck they are... anyways onto the facts

• Vex is fully waterproof! you can throw him in a pool and he wont have any issues
• Synth tried making music in many different genres, from classical to pop to metal
• androids dont need to wear clothes, its more common to see "naked" androids in larger cities
• Synth's favorite music genre is jungle, anything loud or chaotic is good in his eyes, if i had to choose a real life producer as his favorite artist though, id choose Golden Boy. check out his album called "I NEVER MEANT FOR THIS TO HAPPEN" while youre at it *winking emoji*
• Vex sees Synth as an "annoying waste of space"
• while Synth finds Vex to be troubled and tries to get him to open up, this angers Vex even more since he thinks Synth sees him as someone weak that needs help
• many people think Synth is a teenager or a kid due to his smaller size
• Only ⅓ of the android population is made up of past humans, the rest is sentient AI

• Vex's memory only goes back to 2095, he believes its because of his memory 'corrupted'
• Vex often takes his anger out on items around him, mostly throwing them
• Synth can play mp4 files on their display screen
• Androids can only use search engines and download/share files. There are ways to make them run games and other programs using third-party devices though

Authors Note : I gotta make a blog about the actual infected and apocalypse soon... Maybe ill do it in character too but that would mean im gonna have to make someone thats a doctor or surgeon or something like that, honestly thats not that bad. Oh im qlso gonna have to re upload their pictures bcz imgbb decided to make them stop working : P
