Recipe for Cheddar Sausage Pasta

General info:
Howdy! I wanted to start uploading recipes for the usual dinner items I make and thought this would be a good start.
Warning:
Most, if not all, measurements are eyballed.
Season with your heart, think with your head.

This pasta was usually what my mom would make when there was no solid ideas for dinner and we needed left over for a minute. It's a savory, hearty, and comforting cheesy meal that is perfect for these autumn nights where are you wanna do is curl up and need some comfort food to get you through this seasonal depressive time. Plus, it makes a quick and easy lunch since it taste the same as when it was fresh.

Tools of the trade:
  • One Meduim Pot
  • One Pan(optional)
  • A Bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Cup or Jar

Ingredients:
  • Fusilli or Bowtie Pasta
  • One Bell Pepper (I prefer red for color)
  • Shredded Cheddar
  • Pasta Water
  • Olive Oil
  • Kielbasa Sausage
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • A Bowl

Recipe:
  1. In your pot, boil your water and prep your pasta (Adding salt to the water will help it boil faster)
  2. While your pasta is cooking, cube your bell pepper(s) and sausage.
  3. Once your pasta is done cooking, pour off some of the pasta water into a jar (We'll be using it later so keep at least a cup worth)
  4. Put the pasta into a bowl and set it to the side
  5. In a pan (or your pot), over meduim heat, add some olive oil and fry your bell pepper and sausage until colored.
  6. In your pot, at meduim heat, with olive oil, re-add your pasta, bell pepper(s), and sausage and toss until well mixed
  7. Slowly add handfulls of cheddar cheese and use the pasta water we set aside earlier to help melt the cheese (It should not be soupy!!!)
  8. Turn off heat, season with salt and pepper to taste
  9. Enjoy!

Extra Info:
Most of this recipe is, like I said earlier, eyeballed so if you have any questions please leave them in the comments and I'll get back to you ASAP! I sadly forogt to take a photo of the batch I made last night (I had left over Fusilli I needed to get rid of) so attahced is a photo of my first attempt at this which was still delish!
(Also, any advice on how to write out a recipe is appreciated :3).
Have fun cooking!IMG-4916
