L.S. Dunes, Spiritual Cramp, Rise Against 11/1/2024
Did i throw up more times than I can count on my fingers and toes until it was nothing but acid and stomach lining? yes- probably shouldn't of drank that pina colada- (pffft- stomach aches and going to see Frank iero is a bit to funny lolz) I sat in line for a good 6-7 hrs in the hot sun and cold rain until my but was numb, got so dizzy i nearly fainted in the parking lot, head-banged until i about gave myself whiplash, ran faster than I ever have in my entire life to that left side barrier gate, and stood there until pins and needles shivered up my legs and spine! and I'd do it all over again.
I can still feel trucker Rule's drums in my skull, Travis's and Frank's guitars in my heart and chest, Tim's base in my feet and Anthony's vocals in my gut and throat as i screamed along until i ripped them to shreds, so violently i felt my sides vibrate. The excitement I felt as i watched a music tech carry out Frank's pedal board...gods i think it was only them my brain actually accepted what was actually happening right before my eyes- it still doesn't seem real even days later!
working my way through the crowd after their set and seeing so many people so alike me was truly something magical, knowing it was this community of other freaks and weirdos just the same, just like family, seeing everyone enjoy themselves and all the lights and art decorated around the building on my way to the merch table and meeting so many other cool fans, it all left me breathless and dreamy.
I will never be able to listen to L.S. Dunes again without my brain circling out every note and key Frank plays now, PLAYED, RIGHT BEFORE MY VERY EYES! I made eye contact with both Anthony and Frank and you bet your but I screamed I loved them loud enough that there was no way to miss it!
I'll never live down or have a more important moment or day happen in this lifetime, and I couldn't be more grateful and even somehow more head over heels in love with Frank Iero himself, and the music scene! <3
