church

no offence or hate, I put the dots there because I felt like it waz way better like that. Anyways, to the point.. as you know, I go to church every Sunday with some family members (well, technically you don't know that, but now u do!) When we get there, we either have to sing some spiritual songs and you know, all that stuff when you go there. Gather for worship, spiritual songs/hymns or however you spell it TwT and also speech thingy (when the pastor is speaking) I know, I'm bad at explaining but listen, most of the time when I go there, I don't really feel anything, like I don't feel religious, I don't feel more protected as they all say. I feel nothing. I don't know what's the point of getting forced to go there if I feel like this, though I know my parents might rage at me if I tell them this, because they're like religious and everything, you know. But, not strict, so like.. what do I do in this situation? T_T

From your description it sounds like you're attending protestant services. Have you ever been to a Catholic liturgy? I have heard many protestants say experiencing the Catholic Mass (also known as Holy Mass) was inspiring, many felt like it had more meaning. Only thing is you can not receive Holy Communion, but you can go up to receive a blessing from the priest. Maybe talk to your family about it to see if they're open to the idea, and also it wouldn't be a bad idea to watch a protestant guide to attending Catholic liturgy for the first time (I'm sure there's a video like that somewhere on youtube?). Whatever happens though, if you feel very disinterested in the service you're currently attending, it might be a sign that it's the wrong church. Do some research on church history and watch some theology debates, and pray for God to lead you to his True Church.

Did you know that you can also pray for saint's intercession, like how you would ask a friend or family member to pray for you? This has been understood since the dawn of Christianity, in particular Saint Jerome and Saint Augustine(~400AD) defending the practice. If you want to understand this better there are plenty of videos on youtube that go deep into why you CAN pray for saint's intercession!

I digress; pray for Our Blessed Mother's intercession so that she guides you to her son Christ our Lord, for her intercession in particular is extremely powerful.

God bless you and may He help you find His True Church!
