November 2nd [ 24.11.2]

Halloween party went well, some folks had some well executed costumes that I thought looked good. Two notable ones being that punk spiderman and I think 'nurse from silent hill[?], there was also a WWII soilder, which if I'm being honest caught me off gaurd, made me giggle a tad.

Although there was a "post apocalyptic femboy", when I tell you the crowd went silent man. I don't mean to be a hater but that was far from the right time, place, audience. I'm also uncomfortable with the word 'femboy' as a default. Like I have never heard it in a way that wasn't weird or fetishized it in some way. -5/10. Hope that guy felt some semblance of shame cause that shit was not done in an ironic way.

It wasn't actually a very good 'party', was more of a gathering, however I really enjoyed chatting with the folks I knew. Talked to the guy[ I'll call him 'RL' for now ] I think is cute. I stayed in small groups throughout it and he stayed in the same one as me for majority of the event.

I never get to really speak with RL, I have one class with him and that's bout it. He ain't very talkative during class and our seats aren't exactly close either. Come to think of it, I don't actually know much about him, he's always very cordial albiet quiet. Highkey hoping he's queer, I can't just ask him though.

That all was thursday, then friday was an average schoolday, nothing to note. Today was interesting though! Went to my first resteration workdays for one of the preserves near me. From 9am-12pm, got a tad carried away and stopped more around 12:30pm. We were clearing out buckthorn which is invasive where I live, it's very easy to distinguish this time of year, one of the only still green kinds of foliage. I had no clue it was so widespread until today! Very hard to unsee, #ProtectYourNativeSpecies

Aside from the steward there where three other folk there. Couldn't have been any younger than late 60's, definitely a bit of a surprise. The steward herself looked to be my grandmother's age! She said I was quite helpful but I'm not sure how much of a difference me being there had made. Just hoping I wasn't much of a bother, fully planning on attending another volunteer day soon.

Infact there's another event tomorrow but I ain't got a ride for that day. Also not sure how I'll feel tomorrow.

After all that this morning my mother and I went to a bakery for pan de muerto. It was already later in the day so it was pretty much gone however I did get some other pasteries. We did stop at a Wendy's beforehand aswell. The krabby patty meal ain't half bad I tell ya.

Once we had the deserts we decided to stop by my grandma's and see if she wanted to try some. She did and it was lovely seeing her, #ILoveMyGrandmother.
