I mean yeah in certain cases I can understand running over fighting, but some beasts you'd assume you can fight. Like MFs like Granny or characters from similar games you could definitely put down with a few swings of a bat

Tell that to the main character who can't just grab a chair and swing it at the monster, MF can't even run for more than 3 seconds before collapsing
