Man I miss the 2015-2019 creepypasta fandom, it used to be so lively now it's just boring and problematic. Don't get me wrong, the new creepypasta fandom has potential too but most of the time it's just gross to be in it. Yeah gross.
Where is the fun? Where are the jokes? Where is the purpose to be in it. The fandom is so problematic now, people hating on new comers, problematic art, problematic ships, problematic headcannons like wdym " ticci toby is an abuser in a relationship " babygirl he was ABUSED, he isn't one of the cases of the abused becomes the abuser. " well what about yandere! Ticci toby? " honey that's something else, don't compare that to straight up abusive. I'm not excusing the yandere thing either, never liked it but they're two completely different things. Both bad in my opinion.
People are shaming others for joining the fandom late and calling them new gen like do you realise most of them are CHILDREN?? " well I was a child too when I discovered creepypasta " so was I cuz of unrestricted internet access but not everyone had that and honestly good for them cuz it isn't good nor healthy to have unrestricted internet access, like you're shaming others for not discovering creepypasta when they were 6 like you? Ok jackass. In 2016 YouTube didn't really have any restrictions which resulted into many kids including me discovering weird things on there, anything could be put on YouTube around that time. Now YouTube has better restrictions and it's safer for kids, of course they aren't gonna discover creepypasta at a fragile age and it's such a good thing for them because you don't know how kids react to such things. Maybe you weren't scared but that doesn't mean everyone will react the same.
The bullying increased since 2021 (in my opinion) and it's fucking draining to be in the fandom now. And not only that but it's so boring, we honestly don't have anything fun anymore, the fandoms jokes are gone, the fanfics are gone, going to the woods and pretending to find slender man is gone, cosplaying is mostly gone like what happened. The headcannons are problematic. You can't find any headcannons anymore and if you do it's so problematic or sexualized.
And also if we're speaking about sexualization, its so popular for what. I understand having a crush on a fictional character and honestly I can't stop you from making nswf jokes cuz like nswf things are in every fandom it's not something you can stop but it's became so overpopular. At every post about a character you see it's just straight up nswf. It's weird and annoying. And it has spread to the MINORS CHARACTERS TOO??!? LIKE WHY??? THEY'RE LITTERAL CHILDREN. " they're fictional " I'mma touch you, sleep with one eye open. Them being fictional does not excuse your gross art. SALLY IS A CHILD, BEN IS A CHILD, LAZARI IS A CHILD.
Bring back the old fandom, bring back the cosplayers, the mmds, the jokes, the fanfics, creepypasta international day, bring back ocs. ALSO. Why are people suddenly hating on ocs, y'all realise creepypasta are just a bunch of ocs, right? Ticci toby is an oc, clockwork is an oc, bloody painter, Jeff the killer, slender man. Everyone is an oc. Why do you hate on someone making when literally everyone is.
Bring back the fan projects, like I want more things like marble hornets or everyman HYBRID. I want things like " how to summer " smol_awkward_cosplayer back. I want fun.
Now this is all just my opinion you don't have to agree w me.

Yeah ima be so real rn but i hate “realistic” headcannons. Like I’m all for being depressing and edgy and all that but trying to make creepypasta realistic takes all of the fun out of it. Like where is the whimsy? Where is the silly?
Like these mfs who make these headcannonns as AUs try to treat it like a realistic crime novel with lots of gritty stuff and grim darkness, which in the process makes the characters boaring and slightly more unlikeable. Or when they make “realistic headcannons based off the type of serial killer they are.”
No joke i saw one of LJ this one time trying to analyse him and write him like what he would be like if he was real and based off the type of serial killer he is, and they wrote that he would SA kids before or after killing them and being a necrophiliac! TF!?!?!
I’m sorry but I’d like to make the point that LJ is cannoncially SEXLESS and has no reproductive organs because HES A LIVING STUFFED TOY!
And then they play it off as if its more true to the cannon than the cannon version is!!!!!
SO REAL 🙏🙏 I'm all for being edgy too, like I love those AUs where you're a detective or something investigating a case but like when they try to make the creepypastas just unbearable it's ruining my will to read it. Like I get they're killers but dawg they're not ruthless and they are actually written in their canon posts that they're capable of having healthy relationships.

Honestly, school has made me stop engaging with creepypasta and now I feel like I'm a new fan all over again and interacting with the fanbase is so scary.
I've seen people on pinterest hc the craziest stuff and it honestly makes me uncomfortable
Newcomers also get misstreated for absolutely no reason, like, you're right, I personally discovered it when I was very little, through Slenderman and Jeff the Killer.
Is it Bad? Probably. Is it Good? No idea. I like creepypasta, but shaming a child for liking something that isn't meant for little children? That's so immature.
The sexualizing is also so bad nowadays, I won't talk about it much because you already said everything, but it's truly excessive how much you can see.
I feel both proud and ashamed to say that I'm still stuck in the old fandom. I love cosplaying, I love watching mmds with little to no plot, I love watching animation memes and animations as a whole, i love making dumb jokes, I love reading fanfictions (ocassionally because I find it a bit hard to find good ones I actually like), I love making Ocs.
While on ocs, I am working on one as of right now.
He's a proxy and well, his name is still in the choosing hahah... I'd like to yap more about him (hes actually just kind of a self insert of myself...) but uhh It's kind of unrelated
