Niccy's Song Of The Day #4: Freak of the Week by Freak Kitchen

Consider today's song a late Halloween special, we got Freak of the Week by Freak Kitchen! 

Before I say anything about the song itself I just have to mention the absolute work of art that is its music video. The band started a kickstarter just to produce it which ended up raising 140,000 dollars! Expensive as hell and it SHOWS, this has got be hands down one of the most beautiful music videos ever made, the animation quality alone elevates it to its own realm. In a world dominated by CG, its so refreshing to see something hand drawn with such insane levels of care put into it. You can pause on any frame and it will still look like a masterpiece!

The fact that the song is fucking amazing too is just the cherry on top, its probably in my top ten of all time. It's catchy, heavy and WEIRD! The perfect earworm to infest my psyche! When I first found this song I must of had it on loop for like a week straight, I fell in love at the first listen.

I also have to admit that part of my love for the song is because I kind of relate to the lyrics. I mean, not literally, but I do consider myself to be a bit of a freak compared to the average person. Didn't help that I wasn't exactly in the greatest headspace when I found the song either.

Still though, amazing all around and it's probably gonna be a while until something tops this for me.
