yesterday was Halloween btw

Yesterday was Halloween, and I can confidently say it’s my favorite day of the year! There’s something magical about this holiday that brings out the creativity in everyone. I started off the day dressed as Choso from Jujutsu Kaisen, but then I switched to Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul because one of my friends liked Tokyo Ghoul back in 2021. I thought it would be fun to pay homage to that!

Dressing up as Choso was a blast! I love his character—he’s powerful yet has such a deep backstory. I spent hours perfecting the costume, but I couldn’t resist the allure of Kaneki’s iconic look. Unfortunately, even though I had all day to switch costumes, I was planning to go as Naruto too but lost my hitai ate headband! Talk about a Halloween disaster.

But here’s the kicker: I didn’t get to go outside. My mom doesn’t let me leave the house, even though my friends invited me to go trick-or-treating. They dressed up as the Grim Reaper, a police officer, and a criminal—how cool is that? I was stuck at home, and honestly, I was so mad about it. It felt like the most boring Halloween ever.

While my friends were out having fun, I ended up just taking pictures of myself in my costumes and posting them on my story. To my surprise, the guy I may or may not have a crush on—let’s call him Fish—liked my stories! That definitely made me smile, but it didn’t change the fact that I was missing out on all the fun.

As I scrolled through social media, I saw all the amazing costumes my friends posted. I could only imagine their adventures as they roamed the neighborhood, collecting candy and enjoying the spooky atmosphere. I was living vicariously through their posts, feeling a mix of FOMO and frustration.
