happy halloween!

happy halloween everyone :) i hope everyone is staying safe whether youre trick or treating, partying, or even just staying home like me lol

this might be weird, but halloween has always been a Cut Off Day for me. by that i mean: the year starts feeling real on halloween onwards. before that, it's allll just waiting for halloween yk?

like its the first major holiday to me. maybe thats silly. but halloween was a big thing for me as a kid, so i think thats why i hold it in such regard. i remember dressing up as a ghost bride, a witch, a fucking pumpkin lol, and some other things back then. there used to be halloween discos n everything at school, i took them soo so serious, they were my fave part of autumn even besides my birthday haha

i loved trick or treating so much. i was so judgy about what people used to give me especially if it was nuts. ew!!! i hate nuts. i loved lollipops and gummies tho. still do. i think im resistant to change at this point

after a certain point i stopped going out, so my dad would make me sweetie bags instead. he'd buy a bunch of sweets for me to make up for no trick or treating. it was always great to binge my way thru them tbh haha

i don't think he's done so today. think he made one for my neighbour's daughter instead, her names maisie she's the cutest wee thing. halloweens just become sooo boring as i get older; no one decorates, theres no parties, no costumes, no trick or treating

its such a shame!! the magics gone a little bit. but what i dooo know is that its still that Cut Off Day for me. so the rest of the year will feel pretty good for me i guess. novembers gonna be a busy month for me :)

cause it's my birthday next week! im actually turning 18 then so shhhh, im still 17 rn despite what i put down on my profile SHHHHHH!!!!! i just cant be arsed changing my age everywhere on the same day haha
