capistrum scares me || undertale mod

this shit making me tweak dude but even then i can't fuckin wait for this to be fully completed man

it's a horror mod but it's actually really interesting to see the tweaks made to base game too like the deltarune overworld health mechanics

also, i love how it doesn't really rely on jumpscares and builds the atmosphere throughout the entire playthrough

i really don't wanna say much before the spoiler segment because this is best watched blind

So, that house, huh? What's up with that? I'm guessing the character representing "Frisk" is the survivor of said burning house, because of their intense reactions whenever confronted with it, as well as their burnt clothes.

However, I have a more "out there" theory too. What if the main character or the Player controlling the MC was the one that BURNT the house down and killed the people within it, albeit accidentally or under someone else's control? There's a running theme of guilt and trying to flee from said guilt throughout the entire mod's current playtime. If it was simple fear because of their trauma from the burnt house, then why mention guilt at all? That's just how I interpreted this though, I'm probably totally wrong lol.
