Arrived in France just a few weeks ago and got sick. The best part about this is that I've now figured out the system here a bit, the worst part of this is that I felt sicker with an ear infection than I did when I had covid, which reallyyyyy sucked ass. At first I thought I could just rawdog it but after 2 nights with no sleep, which during the 2nd night the pain gave me several panic attacks, I eventually gave in and contacted a doctor online. The pressure in my sinuses was insane, like my head was gonna explode.
I think it's very nice that France has online doctors where you don't necessarily need to be *their* patient. A good option for me since I don't have my social security yet, thus I don't technically have any healthcare beyond whatever a tourist gets. YET! Waiting for my school to put that through the system, but it's currently vacation for 2 weeks so they're probs not doing anything until we go back.
I'm overall healthier now, but still can't hear well from the infected ear. Apparently I'll get full function of it back when the inflammation goes down, and there's not really an exact timeline for when that might happen. Oh well. Hopefully before we go back to school because these French kids do NOT want to speak up and I already struggle to understand them with my normal hearing.
Mrrrrrow..
