☆ 》Noelle Knight Theory

Um, hello! This is my very deranged theory. Feel free to tell me if I did any mistake and of course if you disagree, you could tell me why, I love hearing different opinions. (⁠✿⁠^⁠‿⁠^⁠)

I think Noelle made both the Library and Abandoned Classroom dark fountains.

At the beginning of Ch. 2 we can see a lot of destruction, with those sockets things saying "Save us, she's going to..." and stuff. Then we can see Noelle on the floor and she told us to leave until it's too late and then Queen came and the whole thing starts. Queen is a red herring here. She's supposed to looking like the one causing all the mess, but she couldn't have done that, the destruction comes from a completely different place than the path Queen was following; Queen came BECAUSE of Noelle. So what caused all of the destruction? Noelle. But Noelle didn't intend to do that, she was scared and it seems she couldn't control it to not hurt us. So I think she's kind of being controlled by something, that's why she's so powerful AND that's the reason why Noelle answered our call for help on the Weird Route. Because it wasn't her, it was the "something". 

After the fountain is closed, both Kris and Susie are awake, but Berdly and Noelle look sleepy. If the Knight made the fountain with both Noelle and Berdly inside, someone should have spotted the Knight literally stabbing a knife on the ground. Both of them taking a random nap is very unlikely and very convenient. And if they entered the Dark World when it was already open, they should be on the same state as Kris and Susie: awake. The fact that they were asleep makes me think it HAS to be something different. I think the "something" I refer as, was what made the fountain, and since Noelle has Sleep powers on the Dark World (Sleep Mist), I think they (or just Berdly) were "sleep mist'ed" in the Light World (If Noelle fell asleep it could make the fountain while she was asleep, like sleepwalking). Also, Sleep Mist attacks in area, unlike Pacify that affects a single enemy, so yeah.

"But Kriss, magic does not exist in the Light World!" That's what you think. But. I think. It does exist in the Light World, but it's not natural as it is in Undertale. Dark Worlds are a very magical-ish thingy so I think other types of magic can exist too.

I don't have much to say about the Abandoned Classroom Dark Fountain, besides from the fact that Noelle was the one who brought up the "What if I go to closet with Susie?" and stuff. But I'm SURE it couldn't be Kris because if it was them, then they shouldn't have reacted scared when they saw the darkness emanating from the closet in Ch. 1, they were scared because they didn't knew what was that. And I don't think they would act as if they were scared because like, dude, you barely react to Susie bullying you, you think she would be surprised if you didn't reacted to the darkness growing from the closet? And would you even think she would think you're the culprit? That just doesn't make sense for me. And the whole premise about the heroes vs. the knight wouldn't make much sense if the hero that close the fountains was also the Knight. Other candidates are great tho, but there's so little information of pre Ch. 1 so almost everything is just speculation.

Also that one dialogue of Catti that said Noelle is slipping into the Dark seems pretty curious to me. Maybe she's referring of her making dark fountains? And when she said "Protect her from Susie" it reminded me of that one drawing of the art book of a Angel with snakes on the sides fighting against a dragon/lizard. Susie's Mane Ax is made out of a "dragon whelp" as far as I remember, and Noelle has SO many connections with angels it would took me FOREVER. So yeah I think that one dialogue is very, very interesting since the Angel's Heaven seems to be related with the roaring, and the roaring happens when too many fountains are created so it's kinda related to the Knight too. 

So well, I think this is all I have to say, there might be something I forgot but I don't know, I'm not the best theorist ever so...
